Speaking of feeling old... irish punk songs led me to lookup this Metallica cover of an old Irish classic that if I recall from the liner notes ( remember those?) they’re doing a version of a traditional song that they saw Thin Litzy cover... anyway I guess I didn’t realize their version has been out so many years ... uggg ... much too young/feel this old...

Good grief, is this what ya'll really listen too?!
I'm stuck in the 80s and I think I'll stay there! Yeah, the "official videos" of a lot of the older stuff seem slightly goofy, but oh my goodness...back then it was fantastic - yeah...phones were still attached to walls, you didn't text in class, you passed notes and VH1 and MTV were just starting up...of course, we were all going to burn because of this wild devil music - some of the public schools even had album burnings on the football field - guess what, all the parents and teachers went out and bought records and cassettes to burn - think about all those sales just skyrocketing these bands further to the top

I was 6 yrs old when this song came out. So I was more likely watching Winnie the Pooh. For me to really like the hair band stuff I would have to go back and listen to older music than I grew up with.
That would be the equivalent of
Some on here listening to
Elvis, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.

My professor for Extinction played the music video for Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini in lecture yesterday. What it had to do with extinction I don’t know.
