They are the best chickens I have ever raised, but they have their challenges. I make the mistake all the time, thinking they have more time to free range. Then, all of a sudden, it all hits the fan!LOL I noticed that
I'm a total noob with these guys, there is a learning curve for sure, but I've enjoyed it all so far!
I goofed a bit. I thought I had the overhead wire secured far enough up, so they couldn't go over. Of course, I was not home (always!) The pullet went over and got with the other fella. He was happy to have company LOL She was fine too, roaming around in there, eating his food, etc. Thank goodness that Bl/Sw did not go over, I would have at minimum badly hurt birds, but likely one would be dead.They are the best chickens I have ever raised, but they have their challenges.
