American Gamefowl

I’ve also noticed where the nutty professor has gotten into oriental gamefowl after spending years bashing any bird with a pea comb. I could provide numerous examples of what he’s said but I don’t feel like digging them up. It’s there for anyone who cares enough.

Baffles me these people are so ignorant to gamefowl in general have zero experience, but act like they know something. Why on gods green earth would you use a layer for "training"? That could teach bad habits and is utterly pointless period. I'd love to hear someone say something that stupid in person they'd be put in their place.
Training my a** the only training gamefowl may need is for handling and taming down the rest is in their blood or not which calls for no layer blood of any kind to achieve any of the above.

For those of you that lurk but don't post these type birds don't have an on an off switch they aren't made to fight they sure as crap don't need a layer to "train" with they are above those types and their switch is always on they have no other speed or option. You either enjoy these birds because of their heart and willingness or you don't if you don't just keep your opinions of something you haven't a clue about to yourself.

Came to the conclusion long ago alot are hunting for something magical. That's fine with me I need not search further than what's in my yard to find what I'm after thanks to honest folks helping me along the way.

I had to cull a pullet yesterday that got into it with another pullet I mean these are free ranged and all over the place. Neither one needed any layers for training, nor did they need any walnuts or help to achieve beating each other, but maybe just maybe they are training with these goats .

Looks like a Rhode Island Red to me. :idunno
I wasn’t talking about the bird just the following posts about training. The “fighting cocks” isn’t really a big deal since our own nutty professor likes to use the term too. I suppose to boost his ego. Who knows why?

I didn’t see any of the posts mention that the bird was being used for training unless they were deleted.
