Oh. . plus using everything as a scratching post if they aren't de clawed.

1. They hack up hair balls.
2. They are way harder to keep fleas off of.
3. If you have to have a litter box they track litter all over everywhere. .it even gets in my bed.
4. Their hair flys through the air and sticks to everything like none other. Way worse than dog hair.
5. They will get up on every surface in the house.
6. They go nuts running around at night and pounce on your face.
7. They learn how to open the bathroom door while your on the pot.
8. They harass your dogs
9. They trip you on the stairs
10. They can be bad about spraying urine to mark territory. . mine doesn't he is fixed. .
But even my female fixed cat sprayed a time or two. She would also get under the covers and poop in the bed if her litter box was not cleaned up to her standards.

Apparently you’ve had some terrible cats. Only number 9 applies to me. In which case I punt his fat ass down the steps.

The house cat here goes outside most of the day. So he doesn’t cause too many issues.

Get a dog.

My next dog is likely going to be a mountain cur which will take some training ... and I’m just not ready for the commitment.

My favorite dog I had was a rat terrier. But I won't have another small dog. She was too high maintenance. She was a long legged dog for a terrier. .
Her name was Daisy Duke

That's the thing. .
My cats were both de-clawed so they never go outside unsupervised. My daughter was prone to skin infections and she was young when we got them is why I had their front claws removed. My kid took one with her when she moved out thankfully.
I do like the cat I still have but when he's gone never again.
