American Gamefowl

I'm not questioning you I'm just saying to many irons in the fire on most threads. If I was new or gullible I'd have a rough time deciphering most on here.
Uh huh. And for beginners like me. I only know enough to dangerous. :gig
Some stuff I know right away is nonsense. . other things I don't know what to believe reading through all the different stuff cause I just don't have the experience :idunno

ummmm.... @shawluvsbirds are you rooting around in my profile? I just got an alert:gig
Uh huh :plbb
I was looking at your albums.

It in there under “its unlawful to take any furbearer with a body gripping trap with a diagonal jaw spread greater than 10 inches unless set in water or something like that.

That’s what I saw too... I was just now looking for something official that states the inside diagonal of a 330... I’m calculating over 10” based on the what I found online as the inside LxW... Maybe I just need to walk out to the truck and measure, lol

my question is though. . under nuisance animals .. Would "any means" include setting traps. . and or specifically those types of traps?
I couldn't even get our conservation agent to give me a clear answer on this regarding the fox.
He kinda wanted to straddle the fence. He's like, yeah you can dispatch an animal attacking your livestock. . but he wanted to dance around the question if we could legally trap and then kill. .

Every state is different with nuisance animals. Here I can use any legal method during open seasons any time of year. Meaning I can shoot or trap foxes. Conservation officers rarely know the full trapping laws. They spend most of their time dealing with the pumpkin suits.

I let all that go after he came back with 12” min diagonal after I showed him the regs said 10”...

But I had some of the same thoughts.

@roosterhavoc

Don’t judge me on this rusty trap, lol

my buddy treats them like they’re disposable by losing them or leaving them spread out over 3 counties... so no telling where this one spent the summer...

But am I misunderstanding 10” diagonal?

I actually did not know they came in different sizes since I've never looked to buy one.
Our book says "jaw spread" in reference to size.

Yeah, MO doesn't go by diagonal...

A 155 size is the largest you can use on land in MO... I have some but never use them
