What is the point of coating it? The fat, grease etc.. will just cover up the coating. The point is the nastiness will be all jammed in the bracket instead of on a piece of cardboard, newspaper etc.. on the floor. Which you can just ball up and burn or throw in the trash. Coating seems like a completely unnecessary step but if you like to tinker for giggles be my guest.

Lol it’s all oils and grease already. All you’d have to do is wipe it off that’s plenty of protection. I suppose the coating would prevent the metal from rusting if you’re going to use a pressure washer. That’s nasty though. Bits of meat and fat will be all over the place. Lol

Looks to me like that stuff stays tacky to touch though. . that would accumulate a lot of dirt and dust I'd think.
I think just spray paint should be fine. I don't care if it rusts.
