I wonder why it’s so expensive compared to Rural King? Being sold to people trying to fix bare patches of grass most likely. No no no lmao new pens rural king has straw like 2 mins from that Lowe’s for 6 bucks
I have no idea I guess bc most people that go there just want one not 4-5 and most likely don’t have game fowl or chickens in generalI wonder why it’s so expensive compared to Rural King? Being sold to people trying to fix bare patches of grass most likely.
It’s hard telling without knowing the breeder but looks kind of like a yellow legged hatch to meHi, I stumbled across your thread after I adopted this guy from an Animal Shelter near where I live after losing my normal roo to a predator attack. I know its a long shot but what is he? Sorry for the bad pics I took them while I had him in the transport crate.

All the shelter could/would tell me is the owner went to jail and all his animal were siezed. They had 7 other roos there similar in looks, then what I think were hens. They told me the majority of the hens at least were already taken before even getting to the shelter. I think he's gorgeous and totally different then my last roo so a nice change of pace, and I was happy to get him out of that place. It’s hard telling without knowing the breeder but looks kind of like a yellow legged hatch to me
He could be a number of different things but looks similar to a yellow legged hatch to me. Gamefowl are awesome and fun to have around and an entirely different bird from regular layers. Should be a good experience for you hope all works out for the best. All the shelter could/would tell me is the owner went to jail and all his animal were siezed. Was that picture taken when you first picked him up from the shelter? What happened to his comb and beak?Hi, I stumbled across your thread after I adopted this guy from an Animal Shelter near where I live after losing my normal roo to a predator attack.
