Every blood line and chicken we have on earth including gamefowl is a cross of some sort they just set them as a strain. Unless they came directly from the man an source themselves do not worry about names because most are dead an gone.

Yes, they will be a cross. If the rooster is a different strain than the hens, will this cause the chicks to be mixed?
I will keep this in mind.Honestly if you were questioning $40 for shipped eggs I don’t think anyone on here would have gotten back to you. The $100 for a rooster is a similar mindset. Most everyone who has gamefowl has paid for eggs, birds and were possibly given a few. They aren’t cheap and aren’t cheap to raise.
Well if he didn’t take the time to include pictures of roosters and hens in the initial listing I would have just skipped over it anyway. What did he show a picture of? 1 rooster?I will keep this in mind.
I suppose I wasn't questioning it, I just wanted photo of his birds other then the one that I could easily pull off the internet.
It seems reasonable asking for a picture if I'm going to be spending $40 on eggs, does it not?
I didn't add the shipping the the cost. I believe it was $19.99. (Not bad) .I’m not sure about eggs now but around $20+ to ship eggs depending on how many. Birds are $60 at the least plus the roughly $12 for the box. That’s not even including the bird. So it’s not a cheap hobby.
I would buy game chicks that cheap in a seconed. Eggs are different considering this would be my 5th time trying to hatch shipped eggs with zero success, I know it's not my practices , had 12 eggs from my layers who I had a 100% hatch rate. Although I wasn't saying it was over priced if that's what you mean. Just a lot for me to spend on something with no guaranteed hatch.By the time someone rounds up eggs, wraps them up and ships them $40-50+ isn’t a lot at all. Just because you can get a chicken for a couple bucks at tractor supply doesn’t mean gamefowl should be equally as cheap. Lol
In theory you’re paying for a bloodline that has been kept and maintained for a long time not just pretty birds.
My personal opinion is buy a pair or trio and breed them yourself I’m on edge about buying eggs offline it bothers me when I can’t see exactly what I’m getting lolI didn't add the shipping the the cost. I believe it was $19.99. (Not bad) .

If you got eggs from 5 different shippers I suppose it could be bad luck but it’s more than likely something you’re doing to not get at least a chick or two. The shipping is definitely rough on them but as long as they’re packed well I’d think you would have managed a few. What kind of incubator were you using? Did you have any development at all on any of them?I didn't add the shipping the the cost. I believe it was $19.99. (Not bad) .
