Everything I hatched acts pretty good for the most part worst thing they do is cut a wing on you but I like that lol

He had been here for awhile I’m good friends with the guy he came from his yard is cleaner then mine not sayin sickness couldn’t happen but he’s very ocd about it anyways the bird had always been a little hateful he’d bite sometimes when you pick him up witch doesn’t bother me the black bird I got from you does that lol but he got to the point any time you put your arm down to feed water or whatever he’d hit you he sounded like a machine gun with his legs well he did it one to many times last week and he finally got what was coming to him I thought maybe where he had a comb that flopped over to one side was what made him that way maybe like a blind spot but idk I have a brother to him here too that doesn’t act like that at all. I just couldn’t take another broken finger from him so he went to chicken he’ll lol

No this was before any of them started molting he just got worse over time when I first got them I figured it was just cause they hadn’t been handled but he was a bad seed never got better just got to be more of a headache than worth feeding to me lol

I’d be careful where you get birds from. I’m not saying they’re bad or anything like that but you don’t want to deal with sick birds and bringing them on your yard.

Either way there won’t be nothing else brought in here other than what I raise for a while anyways I like what I’ve got at the moment.

Yeah occasionally you’ll get a bad one. They hit hard and aren’t much fun. Just make sure you’re always patient with molting roosters.

Yeah I haven’t touched any of them since they started I’d prefer to just let them be that’s what I’ve always heard was the less you handle them better off they are so I just mess with the stags at the moment.

It happens bud from egg to mature birds ya gotta start somewhere though. If ya get reliable healthy birds it seems that’s a big win within itself. All you read is sicknesses how can I treat or I lost 634 chickens to a varmint I think I’ll relocate It when I catch it or hope it doesn’t come back for another buffet.
