He’s a trooper for just going... has he got a chance at one yet or still teaching him the ways?

Nah he can’t hunt here til he’s 10.

It takes a long time to clearly identify the ducks on the wing but ya kinda learn what’s in the area at the time from scouting and previous hunts.
We have a lot of pintails, wigeon, green winged teal, black ducks, a few mallards and a mix of a few others. Sea ducks too and mergansers both hooded and common.

Ain’t the decoys pretty costly too? I know they got some fancy ones that do all kinds of things as well.

yeah he’s still learning and can paddle his own kayak in the dark at 4 am so he’s getting there.
That bow is only 25lb but it’s enough for small game. I may let him if he gets good enough but I’m not letting him just fling arrows all over the woods. Lol
