I just finished watching this from the recording on my DVR (TIVO) - I got to the part when Ryan said "And the winner is -------- DAVID"......................then my recording stopped. You have got to be freakin' kidding me!

I yelled at the TV and then ran to the computer to search the results out online - Whoop! I am so glad David Cook won! How did he take the news? Did David A speak at all? Was there anything else to the show? How much did I miss??? (((((((((darn dvr))))))))))))

The same exact thing happened to me!!! Dang! I want to see the emotions and all that good stuff. Hopefully, it'll be on the news tomorrow morning. Congrats to David Cook! Best Wishes David A.

DC cried, DA steped away Dc's mom came on stage to hug him. then DC sang The final song. He was humble enough to bring DA over with him a couple times to put him arm around him and honor him as well. There was a shot of his brother looking into the camera and saying "Thats my Brother"

It was the best end of the season Idol I've ever seen -lots of good songs- and I luved when Cook sang with ZZTop. Cook was also better then Arculeta in his "Guitar Hero" commercial. I hope both of them have amazing music careers.
And don't that Miz Carrie Underwood have great legs!! Dang!! Double Dang!!! Women ain't my thing but I could'nt take my eyes off of them. Perhaps I've got just a little bit jealous

I was rooting for David A, but I agree with Simon that they were both great, and didn't really care which one won. I think David A will be very successful regardless. It was a good finale!

Originally David Cook went to support his brother...but he got picked. His brother has brain cancer and someone donated $$$ for a charter plane to take him to Hollyweird so that he could see the finale.
