Haha cool!! I think Meringue has some greyhound in her.
Yup. Looks like it. Same as Sparticus. Up here we call the short hair version sprint dogs.
The original racing Alaskan had some greyhound crossed into them. Way back. As early as the mid to late 50s I think. There was also Saluki used in there somewhere to smooth out the gait. At least that's what I was told by some of the old guys. Recently there's ALOT of GermanShorthairedPointer.
I like the old older kind though. The Indian dogs crossed to Sibes.
Actually the genetically pure preColumbian ones were the best. 6 or 7 of them would trot through fresh snow for 100 miles pulling a 400-500lb load. None of them left though. Government implemented plan. So we are outa luck tryna get them now.
HA! I went a bit off subject there don't I? Rambling away.

Nala's never not came home. She ran off afew times and we didnt see her for 4weeks. But she came homewe knew were she went, 4houses down. Lol, she wanted there chickens, I think. Lol they tried keeping her, but if they tried trapping her shed run away. Lol, the people are nice, they just wanted a dog.
But sibs are not for everyone. I love sibs, and my family but, my siblings and parents aren't husky owners.
I love Sibs, but would never like to own them. They are too much dog for me.Absolutely agree. It takes a deep deep sense of responsibility coupled a desire to be open mindeed about learning and to truly appreciatte a different way of thinking.
