K. Lunch break. @ 2:30?! Oh well I gota eat.
I read everyone's posts and saw pics. While I digest my lunch for a bit before getting back outside(aw! All the snow melted again. Not even enough to make the ground soggy[which is good]) I'll try to respond to everyone's posts.
The pups are beautiful. I wish congrats on Nala. She did well. 6 pups is the average number of pups to a Sibe. Or any other ancient natural breed for that matter, especially sled dogs. I hope you respect her right to privacy so she don't get all stressed out. I'm glad you have sales for the pups. The cash will sure help with vet bills and food eh. By the time you take into consideration how much $$ you've spent on them in care costs $200.00 is low. Especially when some people are paying $1500.00 Canadian for these "designer dogs".

Breeding Pipoon.... Well that's a vote each for the racer Spaticus and the Sibe/Mal Max. When my fam gets home after school I will pose the same question to them and let Y'all know wuzup. If we put Sparticus into her we will have Iditarod type dogs, if we putmaxinto her we will have Sibe type but bigger. I like them both but really I don't wanna put both into her for one pregnancy. When the vote dictates which male, the pups can still be bred to other. And either way 95% chance of true sledders. Both males are strong pullers, except Max's mom was a Mal so he's slow like a Mal. Remember? Attitude from the female.

Gee I wish I could get pix on here. I would so love for Y'all to see my dogs, but I don't wanna mess around with this tablet. It ain't mine.

The weather is definitely conducive to further cooling and hopefully snow that'll stick around. Well, till next spring anyway.

Personally, I like Iditarod type of dogs (Mainly because I plan on racing.) So I would do Spaticus.

I hope you comprehend Mals are more of a freighting dog, As I said earlier, a team of three could pull a large toboggan type sled loaded with tent, blankets, tools(in short the whole camp) plus a whole moose(processed),big sister little brother and mom while dad snowshed ahead.They're slower but very powerful.

I might get two for my wheel dogs. If Mom and Dad agree.

What kind of dogs do you people have down there. I've been raising continuously for the last 25 years(and sporadically before I settled down) and have never seen K9's breed through a fence.
Come tp think of it, I guess it would depend on the fencing eh. But still oven ever known for it to happen.
Oh yeah, on the subject of breeding, Pippon is in full heat.
What Y'all think I should put into her, a racer or a cookie cutter large sized Sibe/ Mal. This is gona be her last litter because she's getting old.
Remember, the attitude is from the female. If I put the racer into her all pups will share her pullingness and looks from him.
I could take the females from this breeding and use them for the big Blk/W Sibe/Mal. Or vise versa.
Lemme know what Y'all think.

What is she? If she is a racer, I say Mal, if she is more like a Mal, I say racer. That way they pups would be pretty even. (Strong and fast)

Both. The litter can be sired by 2 males. Some pups will be to 1male and the others to the other male.

Gah! I hate my mother! I told her I wanted to learn how to mush and she flat out said no. She didn't even let me tell her anything! I had this whole speech saying that she wouldn't have to pay for anything or do anything. And that I could've even made some money on possible future pups and I could've given her some for her stinkin' horses. But no! She didn't even hear me out! She always does this to me! She listens to my sisters and gives them what ever they want but she just ignores me. For example: Little Sister: "Mom, can I get some gum?" Mom: "Sure, I don't care." (I reach for some, too) Mom: "No." (She glares at me)

Gah! Why must she be such an idiot!? She's even a jerk to my Dad. It's like she completely ignores my Dad and I unless we need/want something. And then, she expects us to somehow read her mind and know what she wants done. I am so fed up with her bull crap. She never even cares about anything I do. Like when I told her I put some eggs in the incubator a few days ago, and then brought it up yesterday, she's like "Oh, your incubator is running?" And I'm like *facepalm*. Or when I told her about mushing, she just said no. Nothing else and went back to watching her tv show. Sorry for ranting but I really needed to... :/

Ok, take a minute and calm down.

I do agree it's unfair for her too not here the rest of your "speech" but please don't say you hate your mother. I know how you feel though, sometimes I wish people where dog, so that way, when they are just being mean or not paying attention when I need to say, I could pull the choke collar and get their attention. Any way, don't give up on mushing. I don't know why she is saying "no." It may be something to do with attitude, responsibility, school etc. (These are just examples from my experience.) I know how you feel, parents can be hard to understand, mainly because they are set in their ways and we as children are expected to adapt to them. Try to get her to hear you out and if all else fails, keep saving and planning and by the time you move out, you might have the money for an awesome sleddog team.

I know how ranting helps, I write letters to the person I'm mad at and then eat, shred, or burn them. Try doing that if you can it should help.

Again please don't say you hate your mom.

First off, DO NOT TALK ABOUT YOUR MOM LIKE THAT!! All moms have there days. Be glad you have a mom, my friends mom died 1yr ago.
2nd dont do it all at once. Do little bits here and there.
3rd, these things take time! Give it time! I've been trying for like 1-2yrs now! Lol

You would be surprised. I've found racing harnesses for dogs that size lol.

He's very strong (has pulled me to the ground a few times) but he's 8 and kinda old and while I think it'd benefit him (walking isn't enough exercise for him) I think he's too old. Maybe I'll have him pull me on a sled this year and well see how well that goes lol
