What you can do (What most do) is train the leads then add the team part. Only leads really need to know the commands. Good luck!


That's true. Hopefully I can find a mentor near me so I can show my mom that I am dedicated to this and am not gonna give up. Plus, maybe I will be lucky enough to buy some older cheaper dogs who know already what to do from my mentor. :) Your mentor sounds awesome; I would love to work (in person) with someone who has been mushing for a while and knows what to do.

I'm going to try to go. Gotta okay it first... :/. I was looking on Sled Dog Central and they have a short list of mentors, the closest are about 1 1/2 hours away, though. I'm might email them, at least until I can visit them and get to learn in person.

That's a long way off. Any how I want to go to Race to the sky, it would be fun!
