I would think I would try to be constantly aware of the old adage"You can't teach an old dog new tricks."
Also be cognizant some dogs are old breeds used for centuries for that one specific purpose, which still equals "old dog".
There is a whole world of study out there that will back me up when I state "there is a lot to be said about genetic propensity."

??? What. Lol, I don't get what your trying to say,
Should I get under 1yr old or older then 1yr old

Here
700

What's a "G" or "C"?
The ATV brand new is $600 I believe. I'm going to get 1 soon. I'm gunna get my siblings on board. I'm gunna uses the ol' I'll share it excuse. I know they'll never use it.

Hi . Sorry. Was busy in garage putting new bridle on old sleigh.

Means get a younger dog.
Essentially older dogs are harder to train.
Also... It's harder to train a Siberian Husky to be a guardian to a flock of chickens than it is to train a Bouvier de Flanders to guard a flock of chickens.
It's harder to train a Fox Terrier to be a mushing dog than it is to train a Samoyed to be a mushing dog.
What I mean iby that is different types of dogs were carefully chosen by genetic attitudes to perform certain tasks. The older the breed the stronger the aptitude. == older dog
If you want a sled dog use a dog that was bred for it. It's a lot easier.
I like a challenge but I don't like wasting time tryna fit a 2 inch square peg in a 1 inch round hole.
Comprende?

what do you mean, nose?

Both those dogs are bred for tracking. I've seen people try to run hounds and other ones like them and they usually end up in a ditch. Gun dogs, like labs and pointers, can usually stop sniffing the ground and focus.
If I may be so bold as to but into what I think was meant for Blue.....
The nose...... These dogs are bred to follow their nose. They are tracking dogs not mushing dogs. Their nose will most likely cause them to forget their duty as a sled dog.

Me personally,.... If I want tracking dogs I'll buy tracking dogs, coonhounds, bloodhounds.... if I want open land pursuit dogs I get sighthounds, GreyHounds, Saluki.... if I want sled pullers I get husky, Qimmiq, Mal, Sibe, Sam..... if I want herding dogs I get herders, Blue Heeler, Border or Sheltie or something like that.
Forgive me for being a bit of a purest.

Yep!!

Most ATV like that will usually break after a few runs. I've wanted to buy one before but then multiple people gave me a lesson on ATVs....it was strange.
