What ATV should I be looking for? That was a sports one.

Brands like Honda, Kawasaki, Susuki, and Yamaha.

Ok so month old dogs? Can do,
I can't do pure sled dog breeds. I way to hot here. They would get heat stroke living outside.

Smart.
Eurohounds may be a better choice.
Or like Blue says, Alaskans. I would think if it gets so hot there you would be better off with the shorter and lighter coloured coats.
That said. It can get hot here. Last. Summer we had temps of 35*C and even as high as 40*C.. That's over 102 *F. Even the bugs stopped making a noise. Thank goodness it lasted only a few days.
Anyway. My dogs were fine. Actually they weren't as comfortable as they could've been I suppose, but I kept taking cold water to them.

Cool. I think that's what I will end up doing cause there are a few around here and you can use 2-4 dogs which means I would only need 2 (if they are well trained) to compete. And not have to take care of a larger team when mom doesn't even agree to 1 yet.

Oh I know there is place for castration but I still don't like it. If I don't want certain genetics in my pack I get rid of them. Sell or give away usually but I have put some down. Deformed or just real untrustworthy(aggressive) young dogs are no good for anywhere around kids and there's always kids around.
I have looked for more nails and didn't find anymore, but that's not saying they ain't there. I'm waiting to see him and ask him where they would've come from or who would do that and why, then tell him that I don't want stuff from him anymore. Because crazy ---- like that(crushed beer bottle caps) killed Equinox. I don't want that kinda stuff happening anymore. It's too hard on the emotions.
I don't mean to sound ungrateful but my concerns are my concerns. I'm sure everyone can relate.
My cousin Moose said he's coming by on Sunday with 10 tubs of rough fish for me too. $10.00 a tub for Tulibeees, Whitefish, Suckers, Maraiy, and whatever else they don't process, just. all mixed together. Whole fish is easier to check for bad stuff too. And easier to freeze, and easier to feed, and easier to clean, and......
So hopefully.....
Yeah, I think it was a confidence issue with Burner. He'd never been down that trail before.
As well, he probably disliked me saying "NO! Burner,GEE!"or"HAW!" (I don't use those words. I use my own specific words but not gona publicize them)
I had never put that pressure on him before,,... ....and of course Snowy and Patrick being so darn scrappy.
Although I've never personally witnessed it I've heard people say it's really mentally tough on an open land leader(GEE,HAW where there are no trails). He must've just got tired from the mental challenge of leading. now add to that the emotional turmoil of the scrap.

I agree with you. A dog who attacks a person without the person agrivating it should be put down. That's good that there aren't anymore nails. I'm sure your friend will respect your opinion. Your dogs are just worth too much (any hardworking sled dog is). That's cool that you use your own words. I was thinking about doing that for 'hike' that way, nobody can use my dogs unless they know the word.

I finished my sled yesterday morning. Mainly just tightening the last few bolts. My mom and I were taking and she still won't let me get anything related to a husky. There are border collie/lab cross pups like 2 miles away for FREE and she said no. She did sat that I could get a heeler pup for $75 and 45 mins away. In my head I'm like "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?! ARE YOU NOT LISTENING?!?! HEELERS ARE TOO SMALL!!!" But she doesn't understand that. GAH!

Ya, them cheap quads are just that, cheap. Break easy. Mechanics dream machines they are. Always need fixing or at least tinkering.
It's cheaper in the long run to get a better quality machine. That's been my experience with a lot of things, chainsaws, lawn mowers, ATVs, tractors, implements, vehicles, pretty-well everything.... If you want quality you gota pay more. Of you want things to last you gota pay more.
I had a BigRed for years then decided o get a Polaris500Sportsman becuase my Buddies had quads. Stupid me. Then I went to a HondaRubicon500. Way better. Still wish I had my BigRed though. Easier on fuel, easier on parts, easier to fix, almost as much power and working ability.

I'm having a hard time comprehending why someone would endorse a mushing sled but deny mushing dogs.
Forgive me for being so forthright but I would think someone who wants mushing dogs would be smart enough to keep them chained and or kennelled that way keeping all livestock safe. I think if you don't want mushing dogs around don't tease people by endorsing a mushing sled.
I think it's mean. I don't think I've ever done anything like that to any of my kids, or for that matter ever will.
I'm sorry if what I've just said gets people to feeling like their toes have been stepped on but I just spoke the truth.

My brother sold hank!!
I almost started crying. But I tryed not to in front of everyone.

I'm gunna say it now, I'm crying my self to sleep for a LONGGGGGG!!! Time!
Hank has Greenish Brown eyes

Today I put hank in a puppy harness and attached a leash to it and went outside for 1hr to play/ potty/ train. It was a blast!
Great day, heard my parents talking about dogs and keeping Hank all day today. Found out my mom told my sister hank was sold. Then my brother sold him!
Now mom and dad can't even stand seeing Hank,

I don't know how I'm going to say bye(

HELP ME!! I feel trapped, like I'm in a box that has no lid!
I want to tell my mom how I feel but I know she'll say " I told you not to get attached" HOW TF AM I NOT GOING TO GET ATTACHED!!?!?!??!? For 4 WEEKS STRAIGHT!! I was the ONLY one to clean or even MESS with the puppies! I know EVERY puppy front to back! I can tell you EVERYTHING about them! How much they eat, who's the alpha pup, who's the most outgoing, who's the shyest! EVERYTHING!!
And they still deny the fact I'm ready for a puppy, the fact I need him!! My dad even likes him!!! that NEVER happens!!! NEVER!!!!
I'm going now before I start crying again!
BTW mom and dad are talking about me and Hank again, they do it like I can't hear them!

Looked at pic of sled. Nice. Good fro starter eh. LOL. you can put it in the garage and let it wait till you get ganglines, snow hook, staging line, and the rst of the gear, then doghouses then when you're all set-up you can get dogs. LOL. OH-OH. Mushing bug bit you big eh.

My sled is in my room in the basement. (Along with 2 brooder boxes of chicks, plus my bed and dressers and such so It's a bit crowded. Lol.) I'm making my gang lines, gonna try to make my sled bag if our sewing machine gets fixed, and the dog houses will be easy. I just need the dogs. :/
