OK so a lot happens at dog class today but I'll try to sum it up
Ok so Nalas now doing advanced work!! She's learning right and left in Swedish!!
The trainernis trying too get my dad to buy me another 1-2 dogs!!!
I'm going to work hard this summer so I can get Nala a few obedience titles, hopefully mom and dad will take me to more show so I can get the 2 ready for fair so I can get both to state and hopefully 1 to nationals. Nala has earned enough points for state but I've never gotten to go. My parents don't get how much this stuff means to me! I love training and showing even if I lose or don't place. Lol

I'm thinking about getting 1 or all ofhese breeds,
Border Collie( Pam the trainer can get a lot of br3ders to discount or set up arenge Kent's for me)
Alaskan Husky( I know a breeder, just waiting on a reply)
Siberian Husky( I found another mentor!! She's a vet now but used to run a team!!)
If I can ill get the BC, herding, obediance (get him titled) sledding

Ya, 7. They are all healthy and active. They come out of the house but mostly stay in the porch part. Once in a while 1 or 2 will venture out into the snow but not for long. It's pretty cold here. Last night it was -34*C at 10:30PM with a windchill of -49. So I'm glad they are'nt really really adventurous.

That's good. And that's like -2*F here if I remember right. Because 32*F is 0*C. Right? :/

masinasiw (Muh See Nawh Seeu) splotched is very leader. She's always the first to do something and come greet me.
sipikasiw(ee Pee Kuh Seeu) he/she/(the third party) is blue is the shyest. Never know with these dogs. Could turn out to be a very very good lead. Or will always be wheel.
Little mokoman(MooKooMuhn)knife is the one that barks and actually does seem to be the sharpest, most discerning of the bunch. Excellent point with option to lead. Probably gona be a real noisy inspiration to rest of them come hitching time.
ayimisiw(AhYiMihSeeu)stern is definitely that and most likely the rock and either wheel or swing.
naheyikok(NuhHayYeeKhoohk)just in the nic of time is either point or team right behind it
nikanastim(NiKahnAhStim)lead dog is ironically not a leader but a real good point.
okiniy(O Kihn Nee)rosebud is the smallest. She'll be team, swing or wheel.

Pictures tomorrow I hope.

Thanks for the pronunciation. I still think I'm saying them wrong but oh well.

Awesome! Wait, Swedish? Interesting....

BC are awesome. But super hyper. In my experiance, more hyper than Alaskans. Some are different, though. I want a team of BC too that way in the summer they would be used for cows/horses and get plenty of exercise when it's too hot to pull.

I have never suggested any type of herding dog. Like I've said before, they are typically self serving. Meaning when they get tired they stop. I personally think Meringue would beat a border collie in the hyper decision but I have met very hyper border collies.

Maybe a team of 2-4 BCs. But i really wouldn't get a 5-16 dog team of they. They aren't made to pull.

I want 1 Boder Collie for lead then when we free range the flock he/she can help put them up
I'm looking for a breeder with working lines but I think I found 1,
I'd get a smooth coated( the shorter coats) so over heatings not as big of a worry

Yeah, I'd probably run 2-3 BC with Alaskan leader/s. BC need lots of attention, which is why I like my BC and heeler cross. Energetic when he wants to be from the BC side and the Heeler side makes him a little more mellow. I want BC because then my parents couldn't say they don't do anything in the summer but sit in the shade. That way my parents can't call the 'useless' in the summer because they would have a job still. :idunno

Smooth coated BC's are less demanding lol
I have to wait 2weeks before the next class so I'm working Nala with her left and rights
Ooo!! The harness I hand made or nala the pups tore apart :/ so I need to desire who needs the harness more right now..
Hank or Nala...

A little late but longboarding is like skateboarding but a longer board.

Ya. Same as me and dance, me and mushing, me and cutting wood, me and my melief system as opposed to my parents(and generally most other humans).
I completely comprehend your disconsolate feelings at your parents seeming inability to "get you".
Who knows tho'?, Maybe they're just playing it rough to test your mettle. whether they are or not, do what you feel you need to do. So long as it does not hurt(especially intentionally) any one (or anything) in the process.

I hafta agree with Blue. BC's are amazing dogs,.....for what they were bred for. I would not use them for mushing. Short sprints, maybe,... trials, yes,... herding, yes,...
.....Real mushing(esp longer trails and more esp with loads), a resounding no.

#1That's good. And that's like -2*F here if I remember right. Because 32*F is 0*C. Right?

#1 Yup. correct. 32*F = 0*C, -40*F = -40*C
#2 LOL. I still mispronounce some words much to the amusement of the old ones.
