America's Choice Natural Animal Bedding - Safe?

I got some bedding - America's Choice Natural Animal Bedding (http://i56.tinypic.com/jhxbgh.jpg) and I was wondering if 1) it is safe for chicks and 2) if anyone else uses it and whether they'd recommend it or whether you'd recommend something else.

The guy at the store said it was pine but the box I ordered online actually says "PINE" on it and the America's Choice bag does not. As usual, being a worrywart.

I've not used this brand as I live in UK. However, I did use something very similar. The main thing is that the dust has been removed. My chicks pecked at it, but didn't seem to eat it in great quantities. They're now grown-up healthy chickens, so it would seem it didn't do them any harm.

It will probably be all right. Just make sure it does not contain cedar shavings as the cedar odor can be harmful. I use pine shavings which are sold just about everywhere. Here is the website for America's Choice:

Hopefully it's fine because the babies pooped up their old bedding and I had to change it.

Same brand I use, but large shaving, get it from the local feed store & that is what they use with their chicks.
Had to pick some up today, ran out yesterday, and was at the feed store on Mon. for chick start.
