My granddaughter and I are raising three baby chicks. Lexie is an americauna but we don't know how old she is or what type of Americauna. I'm guessing 3 or 4 weeks old? Does anyone have a guess to age or type she'll be?

She looks like an Easter Egger to me. She is not a purebred, but a mix of different strains of colored egg laying birds. An Ameraucana is a purebred, that originally came from Easter Eggers, but has been bred to the point they have consistent traits and feather patterning.

She will grow up to be a pretty girl, but no telling what kind of feathers that girl will have, but it will be fun to see!

I am right there with you, I'm guessing about 3-4 weeks old as well, probably closer to 3 if I had to guess. Have fun with them, and happy chickening!

Thank you. I see a lot of brown, but a lot of gray too. And I love her silver legs. Either way, Americauna or Easter Eggers I love her. She's a sweet chicken. Although to be honest I haven't met a chicken I didn't like.
