Mm okThis is an Easter Egger, not an ameraucana
My younger hens who hatched and raised together sometimes go at it like two roosters! Pretty funny looking. We lost our main rooster to a dog attack and it has created a restructuring of the entire flock. Crazy chickens! You're welcome! Also, it is usually pullets-not cockerels-who bully their flockmates. Roosters are not in the pecking order, so they do not care about pecking or trying to kill other members of their flock (unless it is another rooster they are challenging). Pecking order fights increase at about six weeks of age, which often make their owners believe that they have a bunch of cockerels. At six weeks and up, my pullets always try to beat each other up.
It is funny when pullets fight, as long as they're not being too mean! And sorry for your loss.My younger hens who hatched and raised together sometimes go at it like two roosters!
