I have a 1yo Americauna that is underweight and has been for a while. She eats well (they are free range and we offer layer crumble as well) while free ranging but I haven't paid attention enough to watch her eating. She laid as recently as yesterday. A couple months ago, my husband found her laying in the yard not really moving. i was gone but he put her in the coop overnight and she woke up and was fine the next day. She did the same thing a few weeks ago but I literally thought she was going going to die. I put her in the coop and expected her to die overnight but again, she was up and fine the next day and has been until tonight. Tonight she is doing it again. Legs are straight and she cant use them it seems like. She is panting. Last time I fed her watered down applesauce the next morning when she was up and seemed ok. I just made her some yogurt but I am so stumped. My other girls are fine and fat. She is skinny and has been but I'm not sure how to plump her up since she does seem to eat fine. Other birds are eating and drinking the same things and have no similar symptoms. No obvious injuries or issues. A few weeks ago, when she had a similar episode, her poop was watery. I didn't notice today leading up to this what her poop was. I am attaching pics.
