Americauna?

Right on. I have many Ameraucana crosses because head roo is Pure Ameraucana. I have 1 Breda cross, beard, feathered legs, gorgeous, but lays a Creme egg.
I have an Ameraucana Australorp cross.
Barbara Root Hinkkanen your chicken lays green eggs, it could still be an Ameraucana, it looks like it in the picture. Where did you get it from? Sometimes the green egged gene pops up in pure Ameraucanas, and an Easter Egger that has pure blue feathers is very rare. Usually they have other colors mixed in also.

She laid her first egg on Christmas Eve Day. When I got her, the lady had purchased her from someone else. Now I think maybe she was younger than I thought she was. Her eggs are a pretty green. She has laid every day, the third day was a double yolk.

I looked it up and it is not unusual for young hens to lay a double yolk egg when they first start laying. I am excited. She has such a sweet temperament and is just so pretty to look at! Thanks for the response. Happy New Year!

Picture's too dark, could you post another?
