I'm new with egg laying hens.
I have two Americuanas that began laying eggs two weeks ago. The hens between the two of of them laid 4 eggs (hard shell). The rest of the eggs (4 of them) has been soft shells. Is this normal for Americuanas?

That's not necessarily normal for any breed. There are a few factors to look at such as age and diet. I believe pullets new to laying sometimes have some glitches in the beginning that need to be worked out, it also could be a deficiency in their diet such as not enough calcium.

Thank you they have plenty of oyster shell available to them. I have 4 Isa browns - they have no problem with their eggs ( their eggs shell are hard)
