Amount of feed

How much feed are your chickens going through? I thought I would be using much more than I am! It took me a month to go through a 50 pound bag with 16 chickens. Is that normal? Maybe they don't like it?

After a month, if your chickens are looking ok and not falling over from starvation or anyhing then they must be doing good. I wish mine would go lighter on the feed. Mine go through 6 oz. - 8 oz. of feed per day per chicken. I have 21 chickens. This comes out to about 10 lbs of feed a day. There isn't much waste and they act like they are starving to death if I let them run out of feed for a couple hours.

My 12 girls and roo eat 50lbs every 2wks. My 21 6wk olds eat 7 to 8lbs daily.
