And alliteration too!

Anyone found strange body parts or lack thereof in your butchering adventures?

My latest was a duck who lacked a tail. Now he was always an "odd duck," he was crested, and ran in circles when stressed, but his body always looked shorter than his noncrested Ancona hatch mates. When I plucked him, I found no tail at all, just his oil gland sticking up on his round little bum! That gland came off very easily.

Also had a cockerel with a very short tail that was squared off instead of pointed, and had a cockerel who lacked a gallbladder.

What are your stories?

I once butchered a rooster who had three testes.

Also seen a Broad Breasted turkey with a very severe spinal deformation, back was maybe 1/2 normal length and the hips were only a few inches from the ribs. Granted, I have no clue if this was genetic or due to the fact that her owners fed her a layer feed from day 1. She was otherwise remarkably healthy.
