An Actual Purple(ish) Quail (Just click for Cute Chick Pictures)

The Blue-Laced Red Wyandotte (or whichever order the colors go!) looks purple to me, there are Lavender Orpingtons (a shade of gray), now it is time for the purple coturnix (sort of):

Behold the Scarlet Blau or 'purple' quail!

This guy is out of a hatch of nine, all out of a Blau italian (with fee and roux) male and a bunch of rosetta hens (with one scarlet). Here's the whole bunch:

This is quite the colorful hatch, the only two I'm not sure on are the two light gray/slightly red birds, I'm guessing Blau scarlet fee or maybe just plain Blau rosetta (plus or minus fee) but time will tell, anyone have any other brilliant guesses? I love that Blau italian though, so pretty!

The colors you're playing with this season are all coming out so pretty!! I just got my pearl fee x italian pair to give me a manchurian pearl and I felt special but your colors are out of this world!

I just wish I could figure out what the peach color is. I’m getting scarlet, Blau scarlet, and Blau, along with Italian, Rosetta and pharoah. Now I’m crossing in american pansy and just ordered some ginger eggs, nothing like adding more strange modifiers to the pot!

I call this Cinnamon in chickens though, it's different looking in quail.

I'm missing some pictures, this an example I have for chickens. It seems to be recessive as I get maybe 1-2 in each batch. Sometimes none.

I have several birds about same colors, but half of them more in silver tint. 2-3 weeks age so far, growing fast. I love these colors and decided to go and get more birds as these.
