One chicken not laying but all the others are

She has laid before and her eggs were always extra large. So I thought about that but she isn't walking differently. Runs around with the others. How would I check for that?

You may not be able to tell by examining her because the egg could be farther up inside her. But I would definitely give her daily calcium citrate+D3 tablets and see if that helps her pass an egg. This kind is best:

Give her one tablet daily for a week. Go out to the coop with a headlamp after dark, catch her, then open her mouth and place the tablet at the back of her tongue. She should swallow it no problem, and the more you do it the easier it gets.

And an alternative, if that’s too stressful for both of you:

Buy some tiny containers of Sheba cat food. Crush the calcium/vitamin D tablet with the back of a spoon. Mix it into one container of Sheba, and stand back. They go nuts for this, and it’s a nice protein snack too.

Thank you. I appreciate the advice. And will definitely go the cat food route because she is the one I've never been able to get hold of. She comes close but she is fast! I could get her at night, but she wouldn't be happy. I hope this helps her.
