An egg is a closed system, so it will get lighter as it incubates.....

Get a brighter light and a darker room.
You will, like @MarkJr above shows, be able to tell if an egg is developing before it explodes.

Going out tomorrow to get that brighter light, and will "spy" in a much darker room. Thought I was going to be SOL with such dark eggs as my old candle method just wasn't cutting it.....Tonight, I have hope. Thanks again for taking the time to reply.
