Hello.
I live in Pakistan. I originally had five peacocks. Three died to blackhead one by one (cant forget).
We have two males left. Recently bought a peachick (two months old).
The thing is that my family is thinking of giving them up to this aviary (Lake View Park Aviary) which is quite big and has different kinds of exotic birds, there are trees and ponds and they would like it there.
The reasons for this decision,
1) The place we live in will soon be filled with houses and people and there will be no greens left except for the private lawns. I can foretell we wouldnt be able to let them out like we do now.
2) All these diseases out there. It is a huge responsibility. I cant watch them die again.
But what i'm worried about is that they are imprinted ones. They follow us around and loves to be patted and stroked. I wanted to ask if they would settle comfortably in that aviary?
Most of all, should I make this decision?
I feel like they are being kept against their will. In a cage.
Please tell me what to do.
Regards.
