I am going to have to get some pics, they really are cute little buggers! I love the water dish set up I TOTALLY copy cat copied from someone here...there's no mess to speak of yet and very minimal shavings issues...not a bad deal at all!
No...they couldn't really confirm it...but I did bring it up and since they had a "special" on barred rocks that week - I think like $1.50 pullets or some such...I'm gonna go with "probably so" as did the lady I spoke with (Margie maybe? I can't remember...maybe not)...anyways, she said that would be her first guess as well due to the special...I figured since I was calling about missing ducklings, I might as well risk it and ask for an educated "what the heck are these things" guess from a staff member right?
Even if they are just sex link roos, we can work with that...
back to the ducks...they REALLY want NO part of me, though they don't mind that the dog looks in and watches over them...when I come they all huddled up and hide...I'm hoping we get a few that are friendly. I've been spending time with them, just holding them and letting them calm down...maybe in a few days I will provide the random sparse bribe...what's a good bribe? Chick grit of course will be offered...but oatmeal maybe? Or grass clippings? I don't know what ducks really like (except toddler fingers - they'll snap those RIGHT up!)
