I have 6 chicks that I am thinking about taking outside for some playtime today. It is 45 degrees and sunny with no wind, so I wondered if that is warm enough to take them out to the run for a bit. I have had them for 3 weeks so, I assume, they are close to 4 weeks old.

Absolutely. They'll have a great time.

Excellent idea. Choose a spot that is protected from chill breezes, but also has choice of shade as well as sun. This is an excellent way to acclimatize your chicks to outdoor temps.

Thanks for the input! I have them closed in the run (my flock is free-range) so they can see the flock, but not actually be with them. They seem to be enjoying the great outdoors!
