Does anyone have a preference for analog vs digital hygrometers and thermometers?
Which ones seem to be the most accurate?
Which ones are easier to calibrate?
Any brands you prefer?
What about combos?
What about candlers? Any preferences?
There weren’t many choices in incubators within my budget, but the bug bit and I bought a Janouel 12. I like the size and that it came with a turner, and it’s also transluscent. Other than that, well, it’s my first so ... You get what you pay for. I hope I get at least one chick. Quail, by the way. I use our meat thermometer to stick into the hole for temp checks, so far so good. But I can’t find our hygrometer anywhere! I’m just crossing my fingers. I’m sure it’s too humid. :( I have seven eggs in it and we’re on day 14. I also don’t have a candler. I really thought a strong flashlight would be fine. I guess not.
When possible, please attach a picture.
