They have to have some stubbornness to stand up to bad guys. Also, he may not understand what you want, he's still a puppy. A very big puppy. Big.

I got some sheep & goats today. He’s absolutely infatuated with them. He immediately started to heard them. Talk about stubborn though once he found the sheep & goats he was focused on them and nothing else. I have them contained with electric wire to a couple acres. My pup found a hole in the fence and now he goes straight to them.
