Ancona Drakes ??

Hi,

I hatched both call duck and ancona eggs and they hatched at the same time - about 4 months ago. The call duck drakes have already displayed their drake tail feathers. Not the anconas. I hatched 10 ancona ducklings but none of them have drake tail feathers. I really doubt that I have 10 hens. Do ancona drakes take longer to show drake feathers ?

You can also tell drakes by their quiet, raspy voice - only the hens make big bold quacks. If your timing is right I would have expected to see drake feathers - but what do their voices tell you?

And can you share pics of your anconas?

They're really about 3 months and 1 week old. Finally found the old hatching schedule. I hope you can help with the pics.

I can't tell sex without drake feathers either. But they are gorgeous!
