Jatz is 4 weeks old on the 24th. Gee that time flew by, huge duck already. I know jatz hasn't got adult feathers yet, but is that curve in its tail just because or is Jatz a boy? I don't mind either way of course.

I can't really tell any curve but at 4 weeks you might know by voice. females quack drakes have a raspy voice. Heard either of these yet? what a beautiful duck ❤️

Some breeds have their tail point upward which is different from a drake curl. Here are two examples:

Hen with upward curving tail:

or with the eye strips maybe Saxony. I'm not that good on some breeds but that ducks is def not Ancona.

since still no quacking probably a drake and a very pretty one I might add. Does it make any noise at all? Drakes are raspy.
No sounds at all yet. Not even a rasp. Still just peeping.
Attached picture of parents in other comments, but here's another from when er brought them home.

When did you bring them home? How soon after did she hatch eggs? Do you have any other drakes or ducks? The ducklings in the photo have the ancona markings, but even when younger, the one posted did not have the markings.
