Ancona Ducks- Questions

I would like to add a few Anconas to my flock, can the eggs be hatched in a Hova-Bator 1602N ?
Right now I have three Muscovies and just love how friendly and quiet they are. Can anyone please tell me about the Anconas personalities ?

They have very good temperaments, and are great layers. No type of duck will be as layed-back as a Muscovy, because that's just the way Muscovys are, but in the terms of other ducks, they are very nice. Hope this answers your question.

All of mine will take food out of my hand - even the ones I bought as adults from someone else. They're good layers! I don't hear a lot of quacking unless a food dish has gone empty. Then one of the girls starts up the car alarm quack

They do chatter and chuckle amongst themselves. The boys seem the most gossipy, commenting on everything and everyone they see.

Muscovies might have you spoiled

but Anconas are really lovely and I enjoy them very much. I do think it is likely that if you raise some, they may well take cues from your scovies about being chill and laid-back around you. I know my chill birds seem to have a calming influence on my more nervous individuals.
