I have a 1 yr old Lavender Ancona duck named Flippy. When I went out to top up feed a few minutes ago, I found her acting very tippy and upset about something. When I tried to catch her, she started frantically stumbling in circles and falling over. She was fine this morning. I checked her legs and they appear sound, no bumblefoot and no swelling/warmth. I checked her bill in case she had gotten something stuck down her throat and was in a tizzy over that, but her mouth appears normal. I know she can see on at least one side, as evidenced by her panic at me reaching for her, but I have not tested vision on both sides. She's currently in a carrier where she can support herself. I haven't checked further than that because she is panicked and needs to calm down. Any ideas as to the cause? Blow to the head? Something eaten that she shouldn't have? My other 7 ducks are acting perfectly fine. If needed, I can likely supply video shortly. In case it helps, she's in a flock of 40 birds of mixed species and ages, and she eats layer pellets and has water available at all times. She is free range at this point in the year. Thanks for any ideas you might have.
