This push for niacin is not a cure...Ducks actually need more minerals and vitamins in feed so in many cases niacin is not going to cure the Duck so I wish people would stop running to that as a cause..Older Ducks generally never suffer niacin deficiency...Ducklings up to 3 weeks are in more danger...

Thanks. It seems like she can support her own weight, but has problems balancing. When I had her out to take the video she was leaning against my hand but bearing weight with her legs.

How do her feathers look?
I'm reading now that ducks that are deficient in calcium may show signs of it in their feathers.

And you don't think she'd have had weak eggshells as a precursor?

I checked her over well. No evidence of injury, legs are in perfect shape visually. Eyes are similar in dilation (medium) and change when I put a finger in front of that eye showing she can still focus. She laid an egg this morning.

Six week old muscovy duck suddenly cannot walk or stand. This happened 2 days ago. Now a second one has come down with the same ailment. Help!
