One day I was on craigs list when I found a posting for frizzel chicks. So of course I called and received a beauty of a frizzel "pullet" when in reality I received a frizzel roo! I was so heart broken to have to sell him so I called the lady back and she decided to give me his mother. We have named her frizz (creative I know). The catch 22 with poor frizz, she was/is missing most of her back feathers and her head feathers do to an aggressive roo. Shes so ugly she cute. She stands about 7 inches tall (on her tip toes lol).
I introduced her into my flock of big chickens for she was my 2nd bantam chicken. At that time my flock was 25 birds strong and the fight over pecking order was on!
Each of my hens took turns trying to pick on poor naked frizz but to their supprise frizz puffed up stood on her tip toes and kicked the snot out of each of those hens! Then she proceeded to chasing all of my hens and took over the hen house! She even has first pick of the nest boxes!
My bantam frizzel is now, ironically top chicken. So don't mess with the little girls!
I will post pictures of my frizzel tomorrow so you can see how tuff she is!
