I have a very good laying hen that is also a great Mother. She is a Buff Orpington. She readily accepted 15 of 16 day-old black sex-links into her own newly hatched brood. (For some odd reason, she hated one chick and I had to separate that one.......)
I much like the Buff Orpingtons and I think I would also like your Partridge Rocks! Nice looking hen!
