Virginia is for Chick Lovers!
from being the owner of baby chicks, to whatever they are called next. My dog was barking at 2 am, and I wasn't sure why. Went outside, and my little roo has learned how to crow, and was just crowing away. Now to teach him MORNING is crowing time, and not 2 am!!

Awwww, what bliss to hear him though. It's been almost 30 yrs since I heard that sweet music.

So, wonder where I go from here?

YAY! I love hearing the little ones crow! Actually I love hearing them all!! What next???? Hatching of course!!!

Hope your neighbors weren't woken up! Yikes, if mine started to do that, (I think I may have 1 roo - not sure yet) he'd have to be rehomed very shortly! That would be sad. Can't they wait until like 6:30, 7:00? Like wouldn't it be cool to program them like an alarm clock?

It's like the Ambien CR commercial when the rooster is sitting on the woman's bed crowing and waking her up in the middle of the night!!!

LOL!
I keep mine in their coop until 10 A.M. That seems to keep him quiet until he's let out into the run and/or yard. Then he really turns loose. Even my threats of his going into the boiling noodles pot don't shut him up.

Mine started crowing yesterday, his crow sounds like he's dying like

at 5:00 a.m. to about 6:00 a.m. (so far) Then the dog barks at him when he starts crowing
