I have no clue about our little guys . Three are black ( the moxie triplets which include our first and last birds - true fighters. ) There are "the twins" (two little ones light grey with matching dark grey racing stopes down their backs ); there is one big yellow fella ( " big bird" ) , one solid light grey and one solid dark grey and then an inbetween grey. I'm keeping the names general now since the beautiful little "Charlotte" ( as my daughter named her) was one of the ones that passed . They seem to be doing well today . I think I got temperature issues settled. They sleep with periods of activity , more scattered now and not avoiding the light . My concerns now are wether or not to try and vaccinate (Apparently in GA we can't buy the Mercks. (Sp ) vaccine at a feed store and ordering online would make it days maybe a week after they hatched. ) Is that ok ? I've heard since they are first and only birds we have it's not necessary. I wonder if that's true . My other concern is space. We have a small house. They are in our combined living , dining kitchen area. I have a sunroom I can move them into but with highs only in the mid sixties and seventies I afraid it might get cold at night , even with the lamp . How long should I keep them in ? I'm pregnant and have a three year old- not typically a germa phobe but a little concerned about safety as well . Thanks for all of you and your support. It has been quite literally life saving for some of these chicks .
