After a disaster during yard play time today(dog stuck her head under the temporary fence and grabbed my favorite chick) I got motivated to build another more secure but probably temporary fence, and start the coop.
I have a big A frame dog house I had planned to use, but power tool therapy got the best of me and I just started building. It's raised and 4x4, kinda...it's crooked a little, but i've made it work. I've got the floor, front and back walls done, just need to do the roof, sides, nest boxes and roosts.
Tomorrow I'm going to the habitat store to get some foam sheets to insulate(yay having a neighbor that works there and lets me know about goodies like that).
And I decided on a name. The Nut Hut....cuz it's driving me crazy.
They laugh at me because I didn't measure(whats the fun in measuring?) and because I kept cussing at the bugs. the mud. the screws. the staple gun. etc....
