Let me tell you a little story about these chicks.
I got my son a black silkie so he would have something for 4-H. Well last week she died, it was very hot out and he was holding her when she died. I never saw the roo with her so I didn't think her eggs were any good. I gave, I think, 9 eggs to Acre and she hatched them. She called me and ask will they change colors as they get older and I said yes they will be white. She said, no these are BLACK, I said, OMGOODNESS. I was so happy I cried but Acre didn't know that until now. LOL Anyway, I put Betty's eggs in the bator just in case and boy I'm glad I did. 3 or 4 are good so my son may have another black silkie for 4-H.
