My 7 month old bantam cochin has layed 8 eggs in 8 days!! Whoever said cochins aren't good layers sure was wrong!!

I haven't heard that about cochins at all! And I want some! I'm getting a banty roo this weekend, and he'll need some pullets/hens!

Mine lays great when she is laying. However she is a little over a year old and has been broody most of that time. I let her hatch and then have been trying to break her but she loves doing the Mom thing I guess. She has a wonderful little personality and I wouldn't trade her for anything.

My banty Cochin is only 5 months and has been laying a week- and given us 7 eggs!! I'm looking for #8 in a few minutes. I love this little thing! Didn't know she's be so small, though- like a feathered softball!
