I'm pretty much at my wits end with this.

Came back from my holiday 3 days ago to find a sick chicken. Thought it was mites at first, and I've treated her with sevin dust. But now I'm pretty sure an egg broke inside of her. This disturbs me because she hasn't laid an egg in more than three months, and I thought she was done (she's about 3 years old). Could something really have been stuck inside her this whole time? Or was she just taking a break? Either way, her poop has only been white and yellow for the past 3 days, and who knows how long otherwise. She started showing symptoms of listlessness about 3 weeks ago, right after we left the country.
Her comb is drooping a lot now, and her face looks very pale, along with a droopy tail. This morning she looked a little better than yesterday, but after her first water/vinegar flush just now, she looks awful. She hasn't moved in fifteen minutes, and is leaning against the foot of a chair, and occasionally looses her balance. I'm sure she feels a bit odd with all that liquid squirted up her, but I'm worried. I think the whole anemic thing is making her very weak.
I should use poultry nutri drench, right? Well, I can't find it anywhere. I only have one feed store close by, and they don't carry it. What can I do to help her while I wait for something to ship in? Feed her steak?

Oh yes, and how often should I be flushing her? Only once a day? Or more?

*Also, I'd like to worm my flock. My sick chicken...I'm worried she might have them, though her belly looks normal. What's the best way to do this?
*And when can I give my sick hen a bath? Her behind is in desperate need of a cleaning, but I don't want to disrupt the Sevin cycle. Should I give her a warm water bath a couple of days after her second sevin dusting?

This may have been covered in another post, but what makes you think an egg broke inside your hen? Have you looked up symptoms of "internal laying"??? You might do a search to see if that sounds at all like your hen. Some of things you're describing with your hen (runny stuff/messy butt, periods of listlessness).
Is she eating and drinking? Has her weight changed? Does your feed store carry ANY kind of electrolites??? You can usually find some kind of powder to mix w/water.

I don't use Seven, but you should be able to bathe her now. You don't need to wait 10 days - that 2nd treatment is to make sure you get any possible freshly hatched bugs in case their were eggs that made it through the first round. A warm bath will probably make your hen feel better and will def. make you feel better to see her butt clean. For future reference, you can use Frontline products on your birds - much easier, less messy than seven in my view...a cat dose for full sized birds. Even spray products like Adams are much easier IMO.

I'm not sure about the flush, but I wouldn't do that more than once a day. And unless you're pretty daggone sure that she did have an egg break inside her (did you find egg shell, is that why you think it happened?), I don't think I'd do any more.

With just a few birds, probably wazine or safeguard (both are put into drinking water) is your easiest route for worming...
