Granny's gone and done it again

they told me upfront that's how it will go. what Im saying is do the whole thing in the city
Just tell them that’s the way you want it.
My BIL had a sudden episode on Tuesday, and had to be shocked back to life over 10 times. He had not been diagnosed with any problem, and always seemed healthy and happy! His wife found him collapsed in the garage, and he was rushed to hospital. Doctors seem unsure why it happened. He has not become conscious since then. It's heartbreaking!
i am so sorry. I hope they can help him.

Morning all, My life sucks. Drs. appt. in Vevey at 11:40 (45 min, ride) Home to pick Robert up then off to Ky. All on a knee that is screaming bloody murder and a bladder that makes me cry. Dr. told me I didn't have to come in every time but she isn't there today. They wrote for me to go see urology but its too far away. KY. again.
Its just a little skin right?
Yeah when you live so far out everything is far away. Need to live closer to a big city.

Oh, @microchick, YES. They hope to have my new chair here BEFORE next Friday. That's all I know. DH did a temporary repair on mine with some Gorilla tape so I should be okay till then.
God bless men with Duct tape! What would we do without either of them?

Morning all. I'm praying that God grants everyone strength to face the medical challenges the are dealing with and that His gentle hand heals everyone.

We have perfect weather here today. Sunny, warm...s'posed to snow on Sunday. Oh well, it's that time of the year and the one good thing is that snow never lasts long when we do get any in March. Plus what's after March? APRIL and spring! It's that bright light at the end of the tunnel.

@twisted-acres-farm my hat's off to you for living with all those little pups. One is making us sit in corners and suck our thumbs. I can't imagine what 9 would be like. We have three old cats. New game Pi has developed. Oldest cat, ignore her. She beat Pi up early on and Pi knows she isn't going to take any nonsense. Middle cat, June. June likes to play but the game sours real fast when Pi forgets that she is no longer as big as June and jumps on her. June hits the high ground and slaps her around a bit halfheartedly. No full claws. She likes the pup and enjoys the game. Third cat, Camo our psycokitty will chase Pi around the house with front feet flying and claws fully extended. Pi thinks this is hysterical and doesn't realize she is poking the lion. What is funny is to watch them chase one another around the kitchen island, each peeking around corners to see where the other one is. DH gets worried that the cat is going to get inadvertently hurt. I say, better worry that Pi is going to get inadvertently hurt as Camo is a little Terminator on top of being a bit unhinged.

Never a dull moment around here thanks to one pup. 9 would be sheer chaos.

@Granny Hatchet. Definitely go with the biggest hospital you can get. Especially a teaching hospital where they are on top of all the latest procedures and you can have everything done in 'house'.

It's bad here. All the big hospitals are in Columbia and Kansas City or St Louis. All a good distance away. Kirksville has Northeast Regional Medical Center and they are good for every day surgeries but anything complex they send you to a 'big' hospital. We are lucky in that we have the University of Missouri Medical college at MIZZOU in Columbia and here we have the College of Osteopathy in Missouri that is nationally known so we can get quite a bit done in K'ville which is only 20 miles away from where we live.

Good Morning Granny Land. Going to pick up 6 bags of feed and get SIL that will be here this afternoon with daughter to divide it into smaller bags using empty bags that we have saved. Need to stop lifting full bags now. During surgery I hope that #2 son and his wife will come and take care of chickens. DIL knows the routine and she is good with them. Hoping it can be done on a Friday so #2 daughter can care for them on the weekend would be an option. Ma can slide a bag out of the van and turn it into 3 smaller bags when she must.

You have to go today?

My Aunt had it for 11 years. It was so sad. A brilliant woman, and very kind person. Actually, one of my favorite relatives. I miss her. She stayed with us for 6 months, until I just couldn't stand it any more. My parents took her back to FL, and they couldn't stand it after a week. Such a terrible disease.
He lives in town near us, so we go visit once a week or so (when no one is sick 🤧) but he cant handle the stress of just the kids around for long, even though they are very calm and polite compared to most kids today. The Parkinsons just makes every stress so much worse, I feel so bad for him.
