Angle for ramp up to coop...

Hi All,

Building my first coop and was wondering if a 45 degree angle is too much for a chicken to walk up a 42" plank?

Mine is about that angle as well. At fist my chicks had problems then i added the stips of wood across every 4 inches and now they are getting in and out fine.

My angle is about that, but I put roofing shingles on the ramp for traction. It works so much better then little planks I was using before.

Alright - cool beans - I was planning on the tack strips - every 4-5 inches - I'll plan on roughing the walking side of the plank to give some traction as well.
