angry chick?

hello all, was a lurker for awhile and finally decided to join!, i recently picked up two basque chicks and one seems to be real jumpy in the brooder when someone is standing near it (wants to attack), they are just over 2 weeks old, its the chick in the front i asked for two pullets but wonder if it will be a cockerel? its darker than the other chick and not as feathered

I wouldn't make too much out of the behaviour of your two week olds. They'll go through a lot of changes over time. Probably he is simply scared and tries to defend him/herself. Figure out his favourite food and hand feed him to get him to trust you.
