Wow, beautiful hen!Pumpkin (teenager-almost 7 months), who takes her laying job very seriously. I think she's only missed about a day per week, max, since she started laying. This was the day she dabbled with the idea of being a mommy by hording her and her sisters' eggs (no roo, so the odds weren't in her favor). She made some nasty noises at the other girls, but didn't fight me when I came and gently snatched them from her, I think she knew deep down she is too young to be a mother![]()
Thank you! One of my salmon Faverolles girls, I just adore themWow, beautiful hen!![]()
How can he be angry when he is soooo handsome ?!Not a chicken, but I just had to share it lol. Half-Pint the guinea, almost a year at the time of the photo. Anger is his only emotion

So sorry for your loss. I also have a crossbeak- Margaret. She is two years old now. She can eat on her own and seems to do well although she can't peck stuff off the ground like the others. She also has a blind eye and lays a lot of really bloody eggs. She is my special needs chicken. I love her, but with her genetic issues, I do not know how long she will live- doing well, so far.Consider him lucky, I lost my cross beak baby girl at about four months oldShe also had a crooked bottom beak...
